Super Cool DIY Tiny House With HUGE Movie Theatre Loft

If you’re a fan of a good movie, or relaxing in front of the television then this could potentially be the ideal tiny house for you. Packed full of clever design features, this home on wheels even has an incredible movie theatre loft, creating the perfect space lie back, relax and watch a movie.

Erin and Jake are a dynamic young couple who were looking to create themselves a fabulous and affordable home. As an architectural technician and with a background in interior design, the task of designing her own dream tiny house on wheels was a fantastic opportunity for Erin. She even got stuck in and tackled the vast majority of the tiny house build herself while Jake was working in a different city and helping to pay for the construction of the house from afar.

The home’s design is very clever with exceptional use of space, boasting a large lounge area with wood burning stove, a kitchen which is packed with storage including a special fold-out dining table and a full bathroom complete with composting toilet. Up the stairs leads you to the sleeping loft and a seperate lounge loft which has been turned into a fantastic movie theatre, an essential element for Jake who works in the film industry. Throughout the home is an impressive amount of cupboard and storage space, including a very clever wardrobe designed for the loft.

As far as tiny house parking spots go, Jake and Erin definitely lucked out with a stunning location up in the hills of Wellington, New Zealand. The couple found their parking spot though Landshare, an online resource which has been created in New Zealand to help connect tiny house people to those with land who are interested in renting it out.

I’m continuously impressed with the huge variety of tiny house designs which we discover. Within such a limited footprint of a tiny house on wheels, the variation of designs and layouts never ceases to amaze me.
